2017 Maine Red Hot Dog Festival – August 12, 2017

Once again, Maine Highlands FCU sponsored the Maine Red Hot Dog Festival in Dexter on August 12th.  Kids of all ages enjoyed the 140′ of inflatable obstacle courses that was available at no charge!  Also this year, attendees enjoyed three stages of entertainment, a morning Bun-Run, eating contests, children’s games and bounce house, heavy equipment petting zoo, food, crafts, and other vendors, and of course Plenty of WA Bean Red Hot Dogs!

Piscataquis River Festival – July 29, 2017

The Piscataquis River Festival held in Guilford on July 29th was the place to be this summer!  Maine Highlands FCU hosted the children’s pie eating contest as well as the entertainment!

Whoopie Pie Festival – June 24, 2017

Our booth at this year’s Whoopie Pie Festival in Dover-Foxcroft was busy with activities!  Attendees signed up to win a New England Patriots Cornhole Game!  Congratulations to Shailee Verge for winning!  Also, kids of all ages played ‘Pie-Hole’ and ‘Whoopie Flip’ and won prizes!  There was also a ‘photo-booth’ to capture the memories!

JMG Financial Fitness Fair 2017

Students from the JMG (Jobs for Maine Graduates) classes of Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville and Milo attended a Financial Fitness Fair on April 14, 2017, hosted by Maine Highlands FCU.  Armed with their net monthly income, they walked through what their life may look like at age 22.  Booths were set up with information on what their expenses would be depending on their choices.  Many learned how to be creative in order to balance their budget.

Moose Tech 2017

Maine Highlands FCU was on hand to present a very well-attended class on identity theft.  In addition, another class was held on virtual reality in the classroom.  A ‘photo-booth’ was available for pictures with Monty Moose also.

Annual Meeting – April, 2017

Dexter Shoe Tribute – March, 2017

Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union members enjoyed showing off their Dexer Shoes and reminiscing about the company during the Credit Union’s Tribute to Dexter Shoe Company. And, one lucky winner in each branch received $100!

Comedic/Hypnotist – February 2017

February – Comedian/Hypnotist – Greenville area residents were treated to a fun afternoon with a comedic ‘hypnoteuse’.  Prior to the show, the audience participated in pricing games complete with prizes.

Ski Free At Squaw Mountain – February, 2017

It was Free Ski Day for all Maine Highlands FCU members on February 19th at Squaw Mountain!  Members enjoyed a great day of skiing during the Credit Union’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Community Fun Day – January, 2017

Approximately 150 children and adults attended our Community Fun Day held at the Brownville Elementary School on January 21.  All in attendance enjoyed games, prizes, crafts, pizza, and a movie complete with popcorn.  Maine Highlands FCU continues to celebrate its 50th Anniversary by holding a special event each month.
